The noble and honorable the Gilarsh hail from the Deino Region and the nation of Rylarth

Physical Description: Gilarsh are slightly taller and bulkier than humans. Gilarsh skin is leathery and ranges from chalk white to deep yellow. Most of their bodies are covered in fine scales that are usually metallic in color. Gilarsh don’t like to wear too much clothing and prefer breastplates and greaves to full suits of armor. They are not a small race. Even Gilarsh women tend to be only a half-foot or so shorter than most males (and some of them are equal in stature to their male counterparts), having broad shoulders and muscular, powerful bodies.

Society: Gilarsh have a tribal society, inhabiting a few small villages usually in deep tropical jungles. Each tribe comprises an average of forty members, ruled by a chieftain, males and females equally earning this distinction. Each Gilarsh earns their place by deeds and actions, rather than empty promises.

Relations: The Gilarsh tend to get along with all races from Cal`Aranthe. Most see the Gilarsh as a type of patriarch race. To their enemies, they are brutal and fearsome opponents, without parallel in their ferocity and cunning. To their allies, while the Gilarsh might seem quick to anger, they are tempered by the wisdom of their leaders and their shamans.

Gilarsh See Tengu and Nil Dajara as Country men, and is not rare to see these races among their larger cities and villages.

Alignment and Religion: Gilarsh Religion takes form of a Shamanistic faith that revolves around worshiping the titans and the forces of nature. The concept of honor pervades all echelons of Gilarsh society. Even the naming of an Gilarsh is temporary until he has performed a rite of passage. Once a Gilarsh has brought honor to his name and the name of his clan, the elders give him a second name based upon his deed. For a Gilarsh honor is as important as his clan, and most will die defending either clan or personal reputation. Most Gilarsh are Lawful or Neutral Good.

Adventurers: Increasingly more common, younger Gilarsh either curious of other lands or eager to prove themselves, leave their ancestral homes to experience the wider world. For those facing exile, adventuring is the most viable option for survival.
